One of the main Spanish online media sources - eldiario.es - and the well known consultancy agency - Kreab - decided to take the Catalonian issue to the next level. With a complete list of the most used hashtags, they decided to locate on a global map all the tweets shared with those hashtags. As the news were developing, the map gave a closer look about where the subject was becoming a trend. There was also an updated list of the most commented topics. A real time and innovative approach to a global topic.
